Dinner Is Served: Private Chef Services Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Dinner Is Served! We are committed to delivering exceptional dining experiences. To ensure a smooth and enjoyable service, please carefully read and agree to the following terms and conditions.


1. Booking and Payment

Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required at the time of booking to secure your date and time. This deposit will be applied toward your final bill.

Final Payment: The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than one week before the scheduled event. Failure to pay the balance on time may result in the cancellation of your booking, with the deposit forfeited.

Payment Methods: We accept [list of payment methods, e.g., bank transfers/ cash etc. All payments must be made in GBP

Acceptance of Terms: By paying the deposit, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms and conditions.


2. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Client Cancellation:

  • Cancellation Before Final Payment: If you cancel before the final payment is made, only the deposit will be forfeited.
  • Cancellation After Final Payment: If cancellation occurs after the final payment is made, we will make every effort to reschedule your event. If rescheduling is not possible, all payments made will be forfeited.

Chef Cancellation: In the unlikely event that we need to cancel your booking due to unforeseen circumstances, we will refund all payments made, including the deposit, or offer an alternative date.

Force Majeure: We are not liable for cancellations or changes due to events beyond our control. In such cases, we will work with you to reschedule the event or provide a refund, excluding the non-refundable deposit.


3. Event Requirements

Hot Running Water: It is essential that the venue has hot running water available upon our arrival for health and safety regulations. If hot running water is not available, we reserve the right to cancel the service without providing a refund.

Kitchen Facilities:

  • Required Equipment: A clean, functional kitchen with a working oven, hob, and fridge is essential. If the necessary equipment is not available, this may result in cancellation without refund.
  • Liability: We are not responsible for any equipment malfunction or damage during the event. Please inform us in advance if there are any limitations or if additional equipment is needed.

4. Food Quality and Service

Agreed Menu: The menu agreed upon at the time of booking will be the one provided at your event. Should changes need to be made due to ingredient availability or other unforeseen circumstances, we will notify you promptly and work with you to find suitable alternatives.

Food Quality Concerns: We take great pride in the quality of our food and service. Any concerns or issues with the quality of the food must be raised on the day of the event to allow us to address and rectify the situation immediately. Complaints raised after the event may not be considered.

Dietary Requirements: Please inform us of any dietary restrictions, allergies, or specific preferences at the time of booking. We will do our best to accommodate these, but cannot guarantee that all requests will be fulfilled.


5. Liability

Allergies and Dietary Restrictions:

  • It is your responsibility to inform us in writing of any allergies or dietary restrictions at the time of booking. We accept no liability for allergic reactions or adverse effects from the food served if this information was not provided in advance.
  • While we strive to accommodate dietary requirements, we cannot be held responsible for any allergic reactions, especially in cases where cross-contamination is possible.

Damage: We are not responsible for any damage to property or injury to persons that may occur during the event, except where such damage or injury is due to our negligence.



By paying the deposit, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms and conditions.
